What it is / What you will see
Holy Week in Hinojosa del Duque, in Los Pedroches, returns from 21 to 28 March 2027 with its declaration of Andalusian tourist interest. On Palm Sunday the Borriquita goes out accompanied by children dressed as Hebrews, after the blessing of the palms. Over the following days come brotherhoods such as that of Jesús Nazareno, the Cristo de la Caridad and the Virgen en su Soledad, based at the parish church of San Isidro Labrador, or the Hermandad Carmelita del Cristo de la Misericordia, Jesús de la Humildad y Paciencia and the Virgen de los Dolores. One of the most special moments is the Good Friday meeting between Jesus carrying the cross and the Virgen de los Dolores.
Getting there and tickets
The processions go through the centre of Hinojosa del Duque, around the parish church of San Juan Bautista, known as the Catedral de la Sierra. Everything is in the street and free. The 2027 timetables are published by the brotherhoods and the Town Council during Lent. Hinojosa del Duque is about 100 km from Córdoba on the N-432 and the A-3280, a little over an hour and a quarter by car. It is a good idea to arrive on Palm Sunday morning to see the Borriquita.
