Lucena will hold its Feria Real del Valle from 7 to 11 September 2027, with the new Tuesday-to-Saturday format and the Friday as a local public holiday. The full council approved the calendar of local holidays for 2027 and consolidated this model, which was agreed with fairground operators, caseta holders and local groups.

What it is
The Feria Real del Valle is Lucena's September fair and is held around the second full weekend of the month. A working group made up of the Town Council, the political groups, the fairground operators, the caseta holders, the business associations, the Centro Comercial Abierto and the parents' associations unanimously agreed a new calendar. The fair starts on Tuesday and ends on Saturday, and the Friday remains a local public holiday. There is no longer any activity on Sunday, at the request of the fairground operators, who needed it to dismantle and rest. The format was tried out in 2026, and the full council consolidated it when it approved the local holidays for 2027.
When to go
The 2027 fair will run from Tuesday 7 to Saturday 11 September, and Friday 10 is a local holiday in Lucena. It is organised by Lucena Town Council, through its Delegación de Fiestas. Entry to the fair is free. The programme of activities, the day the lights are switched on and the date of the Día del Niño, which the fairground operators will have to plan within this new format, have not been published yet.
