Real Feria y Fiestas de Cabra 2027

About the event

In early September Cabra holds its fair in honour of María Santísima de la Sierra, with the descent of the Virgin from her sanctuary and a procession on the 8th. Indicative dates: the organisers have not yet announced the 2027 edition; they are worked out from the usual calendar and will be updated once they are published.

Key points

  • Fiestas de Interés Turístico Nacional
  • Descent of the Virgin from her sanctuary
  • Procession of the patron saint on 8 September

What it is

The Real Feria y Fiestas de Cabra honour María Santísima de la Sierra, the town's patron saint, and culminate on 8 September with her procession. For 2027 they are expected from 3 to 8 September, as in 2026. One of the most moving moments is the descent of the Virgin from her sanctuary in the hills to the town, with a triumphal entry at night. The 2026 programme brought together around a hundred events, with a battle of flowers, a women's day, a daytime fair in the Plaza de España, concerts and fairground rides. The festivities are declared of Interés Turístico Nacional.

Getting there and tickets

Cabra is in the Subbética, an hour by car from Córdoba along the A-45 and the A-318. The fair and the religious events are free to attend. It is organised by Cabra Town Council, which publishes the programme on cabra.eu in mid-August. Note: the dates given are an estimate based on the usual calendar, not an official announcement. Before planning your trip, check for confirmation on the organiser's website, which usually publishes it a few months ahead, and book accommodation in advance if you are coming from elsewhere.
