What is known about the 2027 edition
European Researchers' Night is an initiative funded by the European Union that takes place at the same time in hundreds of cities on the last Friday of September: the 27th in 2024, the 26th in 2025 and the 25th in 2026. Following that pattern, in 2027 it would be Friday 24. In Córdoba it is coordinated by the University of Córdoba and the Fundación Descubre, and in 2026 it reached fifteen editions with 465 scientists. The highlight is the Feria de los Ingenios: an afternoon of demonstrations, games and experiments set up by research groups from the UCO, the Real Jardín Botánico and the IESA-CSIC, designed so that anyone can ask questions and touch.
Getting there and what to bear in mind
The Feria de los Ingenios has been held in the gardens of the Rectorado of the University of Córdoba, on the Avenida de Medina Azahara, a short walk from the centre. In 2026 entry was free with no booking, and the programme was rounded off with meetings with scientists in Córdoba patios and short talks in bars, some with advance registration. The 2027 date is an estimate based on the last-Friday rule; the UCO usually opens the call for researchers in May and announces the programme at the beginning of September.
