What it is
The Feria y Fiestas in honour of Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes is the big event in Pozoblanco and in the whole Los Pedroches valley. In 2026 it lasted six days, from Tuesday 22 to Sunday 27 September; for 2027 it is expected from 21 September to 26 September 2027. It starts with the parade of giants and big-heads and the procession of the Virgin, and during the week it combines music, tradition, children's activities, horses, theatre, sport and fireworks. The weekend is reserved for the bullfighting fair, which in 2026 featured Daniel Luque, Borja Jiménez and David de Miranda.
Getting there and tickets
Pozoblanco is an hour and a quarter by car north of Córdoba along the N-502. Entry to the fair is free; tickets and season passes for the bullfights are sold at the bullring ticket offices in the days beforehand. It is organised by Pozoblanco Town Council, which presents the programme on pozoblanco.es in mid-September. Note: the dates given are an estimate based on the usual calendar, not an official announcement. Before planning your trip, check for confirmation on the organiser's website, which usually publishes it a few months ahead, and book accommodation in advance if you are coming from elsewhere.
