What it is

The Fundación Cajasol holds in Córdoba the tenth edition of its Encuentros Culturales, coordinated by Manuel Concha and Carmen Escorza, on five Tuesdays from 29 September to 17 November. After the opening session on medicine in al-Andalus, on 6 October the painter and jewellery maker Ángeles Morejón speaks on “La inquietud artística. Joyas de autor y pintura”. On 20 October Alberto Monterroso, who holds a doctorate in Latin philology, gives “Marco Aurelio. La ética y el poder”. On 3 November María Paz Cepedello presents “¿Dónde está mi casa? Mujer, memoria y pertenencia en la literatura”. And on 17 November the novelist Jesús Maeso de la Torre closes with “Los Séneca y el óleum de la Bética”.

Getting there

All the sessions are held at the Fundación Cajasol's premises in Córdoba, avenida Ronda de los Tejares, 32, right in the centre. They start at 19:30 and entry is free until full, with no need to register, so it is worth arriving a little early. The remaining dates are Tuesdays 6 and 20 October and 3 and 17 November. Organised by the Fundación Cajasol.
