What you'll see

mk2 Classic is Tuesday's date with film history: a weekly screening of titles that appear on every list of essentials. The autumn run brings El séptimo sello (The Seventh Seal, 6 October), Viridiana (13 October), Con la muerte en los talones (North by Northwest, 27 October), Cuentos de Tokio (Tokyo Story, 3 November), Centauros del desierto (The Searchers, 10 November), Ladrón de bicicletas (Bicycle Thieves, 17 November), El buscavidas (The Hustler, 24 November), El apartamento (The Apartment, 1 December) and El bazar de las sorpresas (The Shop Around the Corner, 15 December). It is a chance to see Bergman, Buñuel, Hitchcock, Ozu, John Ford, De Sica, Robert Rossen, Billy Wilder and Lubitsch on the big screen, whether you have yet to catch them or want to rediscover them.

Getting there and tickets

The screenings are at mk2 El Tablero, at calle Poeta Juan Ramón Jiménez 25 in Córdoba, every Tuesday at 20:00 on the dates given (there is no screening on 20 October or 8 December). Tickets are bought on the mk2 Cines website, on each film's page, or at the box office; the listing does not give the price. The series is programmed by mk2 Cines at all its cinemas, and Senderos de gloria (Paths of Glory), Casablanca and Los siete samuráis (Seven Samurai) were already shown in September.
