About the event
The Mancomunidad de la Subbética runs guided walks every Sunday to cover the GR-355 Ruta Subbeticana in stages. It starts on 4 October with Lucena-Zambra and ends on 6 December with Cabra-Lucena. Each stage includes guides, insurance and a coach back to the starting point.

What it is
Domingos por la Subbeticana is the Mancomunidad de la Subbética's programme to raise the profile of the GR-355 Ruta Subbeticana and turn it into a shared experience. One stage is walked each Sunday: Lucena-Zambra on 4 October; Rute-Las Lagunillas on the 11th; Las Lagunillas-Priego de Córdoba on the 18th; Priego-Carcabuey on the 25th; Carcabuey-Luque on 1 November; Luque-Doña Mencía on the 8th; Doña Mencía-Zuheros on the 15th; Zuheros-Cabra on the 29th, and Cabra-Lucena on 6 December. Stage 2, Zambra-Rute, is temporarily closed because of fallen pine trees. Every walker is given a Pasaporte Subbeticano to stamp for each stage completed, the idea being to encourage people to do the whole route.
Getting there and tickets
Each stage costs €5 per person and includes specialist guides, insurance and a coach that takes walkers back to the starting point at the end. To book, make a bank transfer to the account of the Asociación Centro de Iniciativas Turísticas de la Subbética (ES64 2095 8055 0091 5672 5233), giving your first name, surname and the date of the stage. Then send the proof of payment to turismo@subbetica.org. You can cancel for a refund up to 48 hours beforehand. Times and meeting points: turismodelasubbetica.es.
