What you'll see
The Filmoteca de Andalucía, in collaboration with the Institut Français, devotes a screening to Claude Sautet, one of the great French film-makers of the 20th century, known for his intimate, melancholy and deeply human gaze. The film chosen is “Tres amigos, sus mujeres… y los otros” (France, 1974, 118 minutes, in colour), released in English as Vincent, François, Paul and the Others, which is shown in the original language with Spanish subtitles. It tells the story of three friends who meet every week and face a midlife crisis: Paul is a writer with writer's block, François has lost his ideals and practises medicine only for the money, and the third is facing ruin. It is a chance to revisit or discover his films on the big screen.
