The Agrupación de Cofradías de Puente Genil has already made the appointments for Holy Week 2027: the naval serviceman Manuel Baena Carmona will give the pregón and the artist Juan Miguel Martín Mena will create the poster. In 2027, Palm Sunday falls on 21 March and Easter Sunday on the 28th.

What you will see
Holy Week in Puente Genil, which the town calls the Mananta, is its great festival. There the brotherhoods coexist with the corporaciones bíblicas and their biblical figures. The Agrupación de Cofradías has already made the 2027 appointments. The pregón will be given by Manuel Baena Carmona, a 54-year-old member of the Spanish Navy, brother of the corporación Los Fundadores del Templo y Dones del Espíritu Santo and spokesman for the Cofradía de María Santísima de la Soledad. The poster will be painted by Juan Miguel Martín Mena, an artist based in Dos Hermanas who has created the official Holy Week posters for Córdoba (2021), Almería (2022) and Málaga (2025).
When to go
In 2027 Holy Week runs from Palm Sunday, 21 March, to Easter Sunday, 28 March. The processions go through the town of Puente Genil and set off from its churches and cuarteles. Admission is free. The Agrupación de Cofradías has not yet published the 2027 times or routes: they are usually announced in the preceding weeks, together with the date of the pregón.
