Pozoblanco celebrates a Holy Week declared of Andalusian tourist interest in 2001. It has brotherhoods such as the Hermandad Servita de la Virgen de los Dolores, made up solely of women, and the cuadrilla of costaleros sayones. The 2027 pregón will be given by José Martín Calero Plazuelo.

Holy Week in Pozoblanco, from 21 to 28 March 2027, has held its declaration of Andalusian tourist interest for a quarter of a century, published in the BOJA, the regional gazette, on 27 February 2001. It is the great Passion of Los Pedroches. Through the streets come carvings such as Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno and the Virgen de los Dolores of the Hermandad Servita, the only brotherhood made up exclusively of women, which in 2026 unveiled the restoration of a mantle more than 150 years old. The cuadrilla of costaleros sayones, which turned 25, also goes out. The Agrupación de Cofradías, chaired for the first time by a woman, has already named José Martín Calero Plazuelo to give the 2027 pregón.
Getting there and tickets
The brotherhoods set off from their churches in Pozoblanco and go through the town. Everything is in the street and free. The Agrupación de Cofradías y Hermandades presents the posters and timetables during Lent. Pozoblanco is about 70 km from Córdoba on the N-502 and the A-423, a little over an hour by car. In 2024 and 2025 rain prevented some of the processions, so follow the Agrupación's announcements on those days.
