Every year Córdoba sees out the year in the Plaza de las Tendillas, with the chimes of its clock that strikes in flamenco guitar notes. The City Council will present the 2027 programme in December; in previous editions there was a concert, a countdown, fireworks and a children's New Year's Eve in the morning.

What is known about the 2027 edition
New Year's Eve in Córdoba has a fixed stage: the Plaza de las Tendillas, beside the equestrian statue of the Gran Capitán, where the clock marks the hours with flamenco guitar notes instead of bells. 31 December 2027 falls on a Friday. The City Council finalises the programme in the last days of December, but the formula is repeated: live music from ten at night, a countdown with a presenter, grapes, a balloon release and fireworks, and a second music set after the chimes. In the morning there is usually a children's New Year's Eve with chimes for the little ones.
Getting there and what to bear in mind
The party is free and outdoors in the Plaza de las Tendillas, right in the centre. The square fills up long before midnight, so it is worth arriving in good time and getting around on foot, because the centre has road closures that night. It is organised by the Delegación de Fiestas y Tradiciones of Córdoba City Council. The times on this page are those of previous editions and will be updated with the 2027 programme.
