What it is / What you will see
The Fiesta de la Cruz is the most important event in Añora and is declared a Festival of Tourist Interest of Andalusia and an Asset of Cultural Interest. Añora's crosses are like no others: they trace compositions of white geometry with light and flowers, both inside the houses and in the street. In 2026 five indoor crosses and eight outdoor ones competed. On Saturday night the crosses open at 8 pm, with a dance band in the Plaza de España and rondallas and a tuna playing through the streets. At 1 am hot chocolate is handed out with traditional sweets, and at five in the morning the jury's verdict is announced. On Sunday there is a quick-painting contest, music and exhibitions.
Getting there and tickets
The crosses are spread through the streets of Añora and are visited on foot and for free. The evening before, the Fiesta de la Primavera is held at the fairground. It is organised by Añora Town Council, and the festival is part of the Diputación de Córdoba's Singulares programme. The 2027 date has yet to be announced. Following the custom of the first weekend of May, it would be Saturday 1 and Sunday 2. Añora is in Los Pedroches, an hour and twenty minutes from Córdoba on the N-502.
