What it is / What you will see
The parade closes Montilla's Christmas programme, organised by the Town Council's Festivities Department. In 2026 the royal procession set off at 5:30 pm from the Plaza Puerta de Montilla and went through the streets of the centre to the Plaza de la Rosa, where Melchior, Caspar and Balthazar addressed the townspeople. That year nearly 2,000 kilos of sweets, 8,800 bags of snacks, 1,200 balls and 1,800 soft toys were handed out. The preceding days include street parades with the Royal Postman, the Salón de los Reyes Magos at San Juan de Dios and the collection of letters, as well as visits to hospitals, care homes and convents.
Getting there and tickets
The parade is free and is watched from the streets of central Montilla, between the Plaza Puerta de Montilla and the Plaza de la Rosa, beside the Town Hall. The 2026 time was 5:30 pm and serves as a guide until the Town Council presents the Christmas 2026-2027 programme. The floats are chosen through a municipal competition with its own rules, published in the autumn. It is organised by Montilla Town Council.
