What it is and what to expect in 2027
Few races in the province have such a settled date: the Subida Pedestre al Santuario de María Santísima de la Sierra is held on All Saints' Day. The 39th was run on 1 November 2025 and the 40th on 1 November 2026, so the 41st can be expected on Monday 1 November 2027. It is a demanding race: it starts in the town of Cabra and climbs through the Sierra de Cabra to the patron saint's sanctuary, at an altitude of more than 1,200 metres, in the Parque Natural de las Sierras Subbéticas. It is part of the Diputación de Córdoba's Circuito Provincial de Carreras Populares.
Getting there and what to bear in mind
The date, the rules, the start time and entry details are published on carreraspopularescordoba.com, the provincial circuit's website, along with the results. Cabra is about 75 kilometres from Córdoba. Bear in mind the climb and the November weather in the hills. The circuit's official 2027 calendar is presented at the beginning of the year; until then, the date is an estimate based on the 1 November tradition.
