What it is
The Media Maratón de Córdoba is the city's biggest mass-participation race. It is held at the end of November; for 2027 it is expected on Sunday 28 November. It covers 21 kilometres along Córdoba's avenues and ends at the Puerta del Puente, with the Puente Romano and the Mezquita in the background. In 2026 the cap of 7,800 race numbers was reached weeks before the race and the organisers had to open a waiting list, so it is worth entering as soon as registration opens. The atmosphere at the finish, beside the Mezquita, is among the best of the year.
Getting there and tickets
In 2026 the start was at 10 am from the Avenida Conde de Vallellano and the finish at the Puerta del Puente. A race number cost 18 euros until the end of September and 22 euros afterwards. Entries are handled through Cruzando la Meta and the official information is on mediamaratoncordoba.es. That Sunday there are road closures along the route during the morning. Note: the dates given are an estimate based on the usual calendar, not an official announcement. Before planning your trip, check for confirmation on the organiser's website, which usually publishes it a few months ahead, and book accommodation in advance if you are coming from elsewhere.
