About the event
Córdoba's Carrera de la Mujer por la Igualdad (women's race for equality) is held on the first Saturday of October, starting and finishing at El Fontanar. The 22nd edition is expected on Saturday 2 October 2027, pending its announcement by the IMDECO and the Los Califas club.

What is known about the 2027 edition
The Carrera de la Mujer por la Igualdad is a 6-kilometre fun run that can be run or walked. The 20th edition was run on Saturday 4 October 2025 and the 21st on Saturday 3 October 2026, so the 22nd should be held on Saturday 2 October 2027. Women aged 15 and over compete, with categories by age and for functional diversity; men can take part without being ranked. The spirit is above all about taking part and making a statement, and every year it sells out a good share of its race numbers: in 2026 the limit was 1,500.
Getting there and what to bear in mind
The start and finish have been at the Instalaciones Deportivas Municipales del Fontanar, in the west of the city, and in 2026 the start was at 7.30 pm. Entry cost 6 euros with a commemorative T-shirt and was made on the official website, on masatletismo.com and at El Corte Inglés. It is organised by the Instituto Municipal de Deportes de Córdoba and the Club Atletismo Los Califas with the Delegación de Igualdad. The 2027 date and price are pending confirmation.
