The company Pata Teatro brings the world of Cervantes to life through humour, words and stage play in three performances around the province: Espiel, Almedinilla and Palenciana.

What you will see
A man opens some papers, looks at the audience and, suddenly, the whole of La Mancha fits on the stage. That is how “Quijote” begins, the production by the company Pata Teatro that approaches the world of Cervantes through theatre, humour and the living word. There is no need to build windmills: a look, a gesture and a story that still speaks to us centuries later are enough. The staging presents Don Quixote not as a statue but as a character full of doubts, outbursts and tenderness, a dreamer and profoundly human. A warm way to get reacquainted with a classic, suitable for those who have read it and those who have yet to.
Getting there
The provincial tour has three stops: Friday 2 October at 20:30 at the Caseta Municipal in Espiel; Saturday 3 October at 21:00 at the Casa de la Cultura in Almedinilla; and Monday 12 October, a public holiday, at 18:30 in the Salón de Actos in Palenciana. The Diputación de Córdoba's programme gives neither a price nor ticket sales, so it is worth checking with each town council. Organised by the Diputación de Córdoba's Delegación de Cultura.
