What it is
Lucena's council listings include the third edition of its Jornadas de Novela Histórica, with four talks spread over two evenings at the Casa de los Mora. On Thursday 8 October Mario Villén opens with “El elegido, un thriller en la Alhambra”. He is followed by José Calvo Poyato, who will speak on “La mal llamada Invencible y la contra armada inglesa”, an episode in the naval rivalry between Spain and England. On Friday 9, Sandra Aza goes over the “Verdades y mitos de la Inquisición Española”. Javier Sierra closes with “Secretos olvidados de los grandes maestros del arte”, ground the author has often explored in his books. It is a good chance to hear some well-known names in the genre in person without leaving the Subbética.
