What it is
El Templo de Córdoba is the series of talks and panel debates in which ABC, sponsored by the Cabildo Catedral, examines the history, spirituality, art and management of the Mezquita-Catedral. Its third edition began on 16 September and the 6 October session is devoted to thought. Taking part are Pablo d'Ors, a writer and priest, author of “Biografía del silencio” and the driving force behind a network of meditators, and José Antonio Zarzalejos, who edited ABC in two separate spells. They will look at the monument from different points of view. The series continues this autumn with the architects Rafael Moneo and Emilio Tuñón. The two previous editions were collected in books published by Almuzara.
Getting there and tickets
The series is held in the function hall of the Patio San Eulogio, the Mezquita-Catedral's new Centro de Información y Recepción de Visitantes, on calle Torrijos. The session is on Tuesday 6 October 2026. ABC announced the first date for 20:00, which is the series' usual time. Entry is free until full. It is worth arriving early, because previous editions drew very large audiences.
