What it is / What you will see
The Salón de Abd al-Rahman III, known as the Salón Rico, is open to the public again through a programme of educational visits run by the Conjunto Arqueológico Madinat al-Zahra. It forms part of the political and ceremonial complex of the Jardín Alto, which takes in the Pabellón Central and the hall itself, whose façade has undergone major restoration work. The programme, launched in 2024 and brought back after its warm reception, shows both the historical and artistic value of the building and the complexity of the work done by archaeologists, restorers and architects. Participants first go into the Jardín Alto for an overall view and then enter the hall, accompanied by specialist staff.
Getting there and tickets
The visits take place on Saturday and Sunday mornings until 13 December 2026, with two sessions a day of one hour each, at the Conjunto Arqueológico Madinat al-Zahra, in Córdoba. You must register in advance on the conocetupatrimonio.com website, via the link on this page. The source gives neither a price nor the exact time of each session, which you can check when booking. The programme runs to a total of 80 days between March and December.
