The Alcázar gardens, in the dark and lit up

“Navegantes” is the night-time show that Naturaleza Encendida is staging in the gardens of the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos in Córdoba. It opened on 1 May 2026 and runs until 10 January 2027, and in the week of 21 to 27 September it has several nights of sessions. The trail lasts around 45 minutes and is laid out in three zones, “El encuentro”, “El viaje” and “El descubrimiento”, which use light, projections and a flamenco-inspired soundtrack to tell the episode that made the Alcázar famous: Christopher Columbus's meeting with the Catholic Monarchs before his first voyage. It is neither a guided tour nor an exhibition: it is a walk at your own pace among illuminated ponds, hedges and palm trees, designed as much for people who live in Córdoba as for visitors who want to see the monument at night. It is produced by Let's Go, the company that does the same in other historic gardens around Spain.

Times, tickets and prices

Entry slots go every fifteen minutes from 22:00. There are two ticket types: general admission, with an entry time in fifteen-minute slots, and premium, with a one-hour window and queue-free access. Prices range from 10 to 27.50 euros depending on the day of the week and the ticket type; there is a reduced rate for children aged 4 to 14, over-65s, students, people with a recognised disability of 33% or more and registered residents of Córdoba, and under-3s go in free. Tickets are sold on the official website, on entradas.com or at the venue's own box office during show hours. There is not a session every night of the week: the exact calendar of opening nights is published on the official website, and that is where to look before turning up at the gate on a Monday or a Tuesday.

Where to go in and what to bring

The entrance to the show is through the Puerta de los Leones, at calle Caballerizas Reales s/n, next to the Caballerizas Reales and a stone's throw from the Mezquita-Catedral; the exit is through the garden gate, on avenida del Alcázar. People with reduced mobility go in and out through that same gate, which is the accessible route. As the whole trail is outdoors and at night, comfortable shoes are a good idea and, in late September, a light extra layer for the end of the walk. It goes well with a late dinner in the San Basilio neighbourhood or on the Ribera, both five minutes away. This website does not organise the show: for changes to times, closed nights and questions about prices, the place to check is naturalezaencendida.com.
