What you'll see
“Closer” puts on stage four people, too many half-truths and that strange distance that appears just when someone tries to get too close. The play moves between desire, attraction, lies and the less comfortable corners of human relationships: conversations that start out as a confession and end up leaving everything somewhere else. It is intense, direct theatre, full of tense looks and heavy silences, the kind that makes you a little uncomfortable because it talks about things we recognise. It comes to two theatres in the province as part of the Diputación de Córdoba's cultural programme.
Getting there
There are two performances. The first is on Friday 9 October at 20:30 at the Teatro El Silo in Pozoblanco. The second is on Friday 30 October at 20:00 at the Teatro Cervantes in Castro del Río. The Diputación's programme gives no price or point of sale for tickets, so it is worth asking at each town council or theatre. Organised by the Delegación de Cultura of the Diputación de Córdoba.
