What it is / What you will see
With its golden anniversary behind it, the Cata Flamenca de Montilla is the flamenco event that opens the Fiesta de la Vendimia and the Montilla en Vendimia programme every year. Its hallmark is bringing established artists together on stage with young ones who are just starting out. Many of those who came through Montilla at the start of their careers went on to become great figures. In 2026, at its 51st edition, the bill was headed by Aurora Vargas, with Esmeralda Rancapino, Jesús Castilla, Sandra Carrasco, Sara Denez, Juanfra Carrasco and the dancing of Salomé Ramírez. The 2027 edition will be the 52nd. The line-up and date are yet to be announced.
Getting there and tickets
The last edition was held at Envidarte, Montilla's venue for large events, about 45 km from Córdoba along the A-45 and the N-331. In 2026 it was on 29 August at 10 pm. The 2027 date is indicative until it is announced. On that occasion tickets cost 25 € and were sold on giglon.com and at the Centro Cultural Antonio Carpio. It is organised by Montilla Town Council and the Peña Flamenca El Lucero, with the collaboration of the Cooperativa La Aurora.
