What it is / What you will see

The Festival de Cante Grande "Fosforito" is the great flamenco night of the summer in Puente Genil and one of the longest-running festivals in Andalusia. It was created by Antonio Fernández Díaz "Fosforito" himself, the singer from Puente Genil who died in November 2025. In 2026 it reached sixty editions with a line-up in his memory: Mayte Martín, El Pele and María Terremoto, the local singers Julián Estrada and David Pino, and the dancing of Inmaculada Carmona with her group. The 2027 edition will be the 61st. The line-up and exact date are yet to be announced.

Getting there and tickets

The festival is held in Puente Genil, about 70 km from Córdoba along the A-45 and the A-318. In 2026 it was on 14 August. The 2027 date is indicative until the Town Council announces it. At the last edition, tickets were on sale from July with different prices for adults, pensioners and children. It is organised by Puente Genil Town Council, which publishes the line-up and ticket sales on its website.
