An artist working with reclaimed materials

Antonio Lara, known as ToLARA, was born in Córdoba in 1974 and is a multidisciplinary visual artist and creator. His work is recognized for using reclaimed materials, assemblages, and three-dimensional structures, spanning painting, sculpture, and recycling art. His constant exploration of textures, volume, and what he calls conceptual universes defines his work. The Fundación Caja Rural del Sur now dedicates an exhibition to him at its cultural center in Córdoba.

Blue as the guiding thread

«A Blue Thing» places the color blue at the center, as both a chromatic and conceptual axis. The exhibition features paintings and sculptures where ToLARA explores monochrome and investigates what happens when different shades of blue are applied to various materials and assembled objects. The result is a journey where a single color changes character depending on the surface, volume, and texture of each piece, from canvas to found object transformed into sculpture.
