The myth of Sisyphus in the landscape
The exhibition draws on the myth of Sisyphus, condemned to endlessly repeat the same effort, to explore overload, weariness, and unreachable goals today, with landscape as a space for action and reflection. It opened on October 10 at the Historic Museum of Almedinilla and runs until January 30, 2027.
From Granada to the Subbética
Curated by Ángel García Roldán and Fernando Bayona González, this is its first tour after being shown in June 2026 at the Carmen de la Victoria at the University of Granada. It originated from the 'Living in the Landscape' residency-laboratory, part of A/r/tográfica 2026 at the Granada Altiplano Geopark, linked to an innovative teaching project at the university.
What you see
There is no single central piece but a collection of interconnected works: video art, photographs, dioramas, graphic stories, and objects related to collective filming. The main work is stored in the institutional repository of the University of Granada. The visit complements the rest of the museum and the Iberian site and Roman villa of Almedinilla.
