About the event
The Córdoba Conference and Exhibition Center, located in the former San Sebastián Hospital, hosts 'Woman, Root and Flight. From My Inner Self,' an exhibition of paintings and sculptures by Eva Llamas about female identity, transformation, and our connection with nature. It can be visited Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 14:00.

Between Root and Flight
‘Woman, Root and Flight. From My Inner Self’ features paintings and sculptures by Córdoba multidisciplinary artist Eva Llamas. The poster describes it as ‘a journey between what sustains us and what pushes us to fly,’ and the municipal program calls it an introspective exploration of female identity, transformation, and emotion, built on the duality between roots that support us and the flight that drives us to grow and be free. The works combine paper, ceramics, paint, textiles, organic elements, metal, and recycled objects. As the artist says: ‘I create to understand life. My work stems from the need to look inward and transform what we experience.’
Dates, Hours, and Artist Visit
The exhibition opened on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at the Córdoba Conference and Exhibition Center, in the 16th-century San Sebastián Hospital, at calle Torrijos 10, opposite the Mezquita-Catedral. It is open Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 14:00. The closing date varies: municipal sources say until November 30, while local press reports it until November 6; it’s advisable to confirm with the Center (957 490 296, info@palaciodecongresosdecordoba.es) before visiting that week. On Friday, October 16, at 17:30, there is a guided tour with the artist herself: she will wait at the entrance and join the gallery at 17:45, as a conference is held simultaneously. Neither the City Council nor the Center has published the entrance fee.
Who is Eva Llamas
Eva Llamas is a Córdoba-born creator working in mural sculpture, free-standing sculpture, and textured painting. In 2024, she exhibited ‘From My Inner Self’ at the Palacio de Viana and has shown her work at the Mayte Spínola Museum in Marmolejo, at Cañete de las Torres Castle, and in May 2026 at the Córdoba Bar Association, where she previously exhibited the same titled show. She received the 2025 Fine Arts Award from the IV José María Toro Sánchez Memorial Awards for Culture. Her visit to the Palacio de Congresos, just a minute from the Mezquita, makes it an easy stop for those strolling through the Judería in the morning.
