What it is
Córdoba's patios do not only open in May. As part of the Córdoba en Navidad programme, a host of private and institutional patios open their doors again in December for the Fiesta de los Patios de Córdoba en Navidad, with the cheer of choirs, zambombas (festive carol gatherings) and campanilleros (traditional bell-ringing carol singers) as the soundtrack. The published list includes patios at addresses such as Aceite 8, Agustín Moreno 6, Alfonso XII 29, Alvar Rodríguez 8 and 11, Ángel Saavedra 7, Barrionuevo 43, Duartas 2, Escañuela 3, Frailes 6, Guzmanas 7, Jesús del Calvario 16, Judíos 6, Julio Romero de Torres 15, La Palma 3 and Maese Luis 4. It is a different way of exploring the historic quarter in winter and discovering these spaces in a Christmas atmosphere.
Getting there and tickets
The patios can be visited between 5 and 28 December 2026, on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, from 5 pm to 9 pm. Visits are free and you go round each patio independently at its address. Andalucía.org warns that the dates may change, so it is worth checking the official Córdoba en Navidad programme before setting out. Several patios are close to one another, which makes it possible to plan a walking route through the centre in a single evening.
