What it is
Cantarillo is the music programme with which Córdoba city council accompanies Christmas. Over several days in December, different churches in the city host concerts made for the season, in a series that is part of the Córdoba es Navidad programme. The idea is simple: music cannot be missing at Christmas, and hearing it inside Córdoba's churches gives it a special setting. In the 2025 edition the concerts were programmed between 4 and 13 December, with something different each day. It is one of the most appreciated free cultural options of the month, ideal for combining with a stroll through the lights in the centre.
Getting there and tickets
The concerts are held in different churches in Córdoba; the church and time of each appear in the annual programme, which is published at cultura.cordoba.es. Entry is free until capacity is reached and doors open half an hour before each concert, so it is worth arriving early. The 2026 dates have not yet been announced: in 2025 the series ran from 4 to 13 December. It is organised by the Culture and Historical Heritage department of Córdoba city council as part of the Córdoba es Navidad programme.
