What is known about the 2027 edition
Monturque has spent almost two decades turning 1 November into its big cultural event. The Mundamortis cultural and gastronomic festival reached 17 editions in 2025, and in 2026 it ran from Thursday 29 October to Monday 2 November, always around All Saints' Day. In 2027 the 1st falls on a Monday, so the likely outcome is a long weekend from 29 October to 1 November. The village prides itself on being a pioneer of cemetery tourism: visits to its San Rafael cemetery, built over Roman cisterns, routes, theatre, exhibitions and the traditional food of this time of year.
Getting there and what to bear in mind
Monturque is in Córdoba's southern countryside, about 55 kilometres from Córdoba along the A-45, between Aguilar de la Frontera and Lucena. The activities are spread across the village and the cemetery; some guided tours may require registration. The programme, with times and prices, is published by Monturque Town Council a few weeks beforehand. As it coincides with the All Saints' long weekend, quite a lot of visitors are expected. The dates are an estimate.
