About the event
Every autumn the Cata de Moriles Expo Wine brings together the village's wineries and opens their lagares (wine-press houses) to visitors. It is held on the last full weekend of October; for 2027 the estimate is 22 to 24 October, pending confirmation.

What is known about the 2027 edition
The Cata de Moriles is the big wine festival of the other half of the Montilla-Moriles designation. In 2025 it was held on the weekend of 24 to 26 October and in 2026, the 28th edition, from 23 to 25 October under the theme "Tesón", so the 29th can be expected from 22 to 24 October 2027. Each edition has its own theme and its ambassador for the wines of Moriles. The format: casetas run by the village's wineries with finos, amontillados and olorosos, the odd guest winery from another region, food pairings, live music and guided tours of the lagares on Saturday and Sunday.
Getting there and what to bear in mind
The tasting is held in the village of Moriles itself, in the southern countryside, about 65 kilometres from Córdoba and very close to Lucena and Aguilar de la Frontera. It is organised by Moriles Town Council and the Asociación de Bodegas de Moriles with the support of the Diputación de Córdoba. Tasting prices and times are published with the programme, usually at the end of September. The 2027 dates are an estimate.
