The Prado inside a dome at Plaza de España
Light and Verse is an immersive show by Fundación Unicaja, created by 3,2,1 Imagine, set up at Plaza de España in Córdoba from October 30 to November 8, 2026. Inside a 360º geodesic dome with circular seating for 100, large-format projections display 22 Prado Museum masterpieces, including Velázquez's Las Meninas, El Greco's The Gentleman with the Hand on His Chest, and Goya's The Nude Maja. Meanwhile, a live string quartet plays, verses by Cervantes, Lope de Vega, Machado, and Lorca are recited, and aromatic ambient effects enhance the experience.
Before entering: the artist's studio and an AI portrait
The visit begins outside the dome with two areas: The Artist's Studio, a recreated artist's workshop with animated artworks, and a Time-Period Portrait with Artificial Intelligence, where visitors can take home a portrait inspired by the masters' styles. The full experience lasts about 90 minutes, and visitors are advised to arrive 50 minutes early to explore these spaces calmly. Photos and videos are not permitted inside. Not recommended for children under 4 (they can enter free if accompanied by an adult) or for those sensitive to flashing lights or epilepsy due to intense lighting and contrasts.
Schedules, tickets, and the experience
Shows run Tuesday to Sunday at 17:00 and 19:00, with an additional session at 12:00 on weekends; Mondays are off. The last weekend's schedule changes: Saturday 7 offers shows at 11:00, 13:00, 17:00, and 19:00; Sunday 8 only at 11:00 and 13:00. Entry is a €5 donation, with proceeds supporting the Mírame Foster Families Association, which cares for foster children in need of homes. Entry is free for visitors under 17 and over 65, who must also reserve a ticket. From November 3 to 6 mornings, free school visits are available for secondary and high school students with prior reservation and limited capacity. Córdoba is one of the stops on the tour, which has already visited Jaén, Ciudad Real, Antequera, San Fernando, Granada, Roquetas de Mar, Ronda, Huelva, and Sevilla, and will continue to Jerez de la Frontera and Úbeda.
