A series from Lucena's Delegación de Turismo in which the ensemble Aras Musical plays in the town's monuments. On 9 October, the Cancionero de la Aurora takes in the coplillas of the campanilleros; on 6 November, Melodías para la eternidad gathers funeral marches for All Souls' and All Saints'.

What you'll see
Lucena en Cuerda y Alma is back with a new edition. It is the Delegación de Turismo's project that brings Lucena's architectural heritage together with its musical identity: the monument stops being a mere container and becomes part of the concert. Aras Musical play. There are two dates this autumn. On 9 October comes the Cancionero de la Aurora, devoted to the coplillas de la Aurora, with a journey through the campanilleros, the dawn carol singers, of Lucena and other towns in the Subbética. It is part of the Días de la Red Europea de Celebraciones de Semana Santa y Pascua and coincides with the feast of the Virgen de la Aurora. On 6 November, Melodías para la eternidad brings a repertoire of funeral marches to remember All Souls' Day and All Saints' Day.
Getting there and tickets
The first concert is on Friday 9 October at 20:00 in the ermita de Nuestra Señora de la Aurora, at calle Abad Serrano, 11, in the barrio de la Aurora. The second is on Friday 6 November, also at 20:00, in the iglesia de Santiago. Entry is free until full, according to the Red Europea's programme.
