About the event
Los Villares Visitor Centre celebrates a family Halloween on Friday 30 October 2026 at 5.30pm. Children will meet the centre's birds and the creatures of the night through their myths and spooky legends, gather natural materials around the site and make owls, ghosts and Halloween decorations from leaves and pine cones. It ends with a themed picnic tea. Fancy dress is welcome. €15 per person, limited places, booking required.

A Halloween afternoon in the heart of nature
Los Villares Visitor Centre, in the peri-urban park of the same name in the hills of the Sierra de Córdoba, is hosting a Halloween afternoon for families with children on Friday 30 October 2026. The activity starts at 5.30pm and lasts two to two and a half hours, so it ends as dusk falls over the Mediterranean woodland. Little ones are welcome to come in costume.
Legends of birds and creatures of the night
The first part is a tour uncovering the stories, myths and spooky legends linked to some of the birds of Los Villares and to the animals that come out at night, along with curious facts about how they live. Afterwards, the group heads out around the site to gather leaves, pine cones and other natural materials for the workshop.
Decorations workshop and picnic tea
Back at the visitor centre, each family makes its own Halloween crafts from what it has collected: pine-cone owls, leaf ghosts and other decorations to take home. The afternoon wraps up with a Halloween-themed picnic tea.
Price and booking
It costs €15 per person. Places are limited (up to 50 participants, with a minimum of 20 for it to go ahead) and must be booked in advance through the Ecoturismo Andaluz booking centre of the Junta de Andalucía, using the ticket link on this page.
