Halloween on the street
Levante Este holds its Big Halloween Costume Parade on the afternoon of Saturday 31 October. The idea is simple: residents, families and children dress up and walk through the neighbourhood together in a spooky procession that the poster itself bills as «the scariest procession in the neighbourhood». It is organised by the City Council's Department of Citizen Participation with the Asociación de Vecinos Paraíso Arenal residents' association and the Levante Este District.
Route and times
The parade sets off at 18:30 from the corner of calle Enrico Caruso and calle Concha Piquer and is expected to finish around 20:00, after a loop through the neighbourhood's streets that you can check on the map on the poster. It is a good option for families with young children who want an early-evening Halloween before the city's night-time parties get going.
How to take part
There is no need to register or pay: just turn up at the starting point in your best costume. As it is an outdoor activity, bring something warm for the way back and, if you have children with you, agree on a meeting point in case the parade runs long.
