Cabra presents, tastes and sells the season's first extra virgin olive oils at a festival with guided tastings, visits to olive mills, a miller's breakfast at the Cooperativa Olivarera, a communal fried-egg feast with extra virgin olive oil and family activities. Dates yet to be announced: the 14th edition ran from 21 to 23 November 2025.

What it is
Every November the Fiesta del Aceite Fresco turns Cabra, in the Subbética, into a showcase for the first oils of the season: the fresh, green or new oil from the first pressing. At the last edition the programme began with the presentation of the festival's award, a visit to an olive mill and a healthy afternoon snack with extra virgin olive oil; it continued with a children's cookery competition, the communal fried-egg feast with oil and a guided tasting, and ended with a guided visit and miller's breakfast at the Cooperativa Olivarera de Cabra. There was also room for Córdoba's vinegars, with a presentation of types and uses and a vinegar tunnel, and a closing paella with a raffle of hampers of oil. The 2026 edition does not yet have dates announced.
Getting there
The festival is held in Cabra, with activities spread around the town and at olive mills and the town's olive cooperative. In 2025 it ran from Friday 21 to Sunday 23 November; the 2026 dates are to be confirmed, so it is worth checking the programme when it is presented. It is organised by the Asociación de Empresarios y Comerciantes de Cabra, with the support of the Diputación de Córdoba through its Sabor a Córdoba brand. The published programme gives no prices.
