- Twentieth edition
- More than 50 craft stalls in 2026
What is known about the 2027 edition
Ars Olea has become the benchmark for olive wood crafts in Spain. The 17th edition opened in October 2024, the 18th ran from 10 to 12 October 2025 and the 19th from 9 to 11 October 2026: always the second weekend of the month. That is why the 20th is expected from 8 to 10 October 2027, a round number that will presumably bring some kind of tribute. The usual format: stalls of woodcarvers, potters, bobbin lace makers, basket weavers and jewellers in the La Villa quarter, workshops, tastings of Montilla-Moriles wines and DOP Baena olive oils, street theatre and music.
Getting there and what to bear in mind
The fair takes up the La Villa quarter, the upper and oldest part of Castro del Río, next to the castle; the village is about 40 kilometres from Córdoba. In 2026 the opening was on Friday at 7.30 pm in the Plaza de Armas del Castillo, and the weekend brought together workshops, tastings and street parades. Strolling round the fair is free. It is organised by Castro del Río Town Council with the Diputación de Córdoba. The dates are an estimate.
