What it is
The Consejería de Cultura, Patrimonio Histórico y Deporte is once again joining the European Heritage Days with a special programme which in 2026 carries the theme “Patrimonio en riesgo: revivir, resistir, reimaginar”. The idea is to draw attention to the environmental, social and technological threats facing cultural heritage and to highlight the passing of knowledge between generations and oral traditions. Across Andalusia there are around 150 free activities during October and November, and in the province of Córdoba they are shared between the city and places such as Belalcázar, Dos Torres, Espiel, Fernán Núñez, Fuente Obejuna and Iznájar. There are routes and guided visits with specialists, activities on crafts such as wine and cheese making, talks, exhibitions, concerts and workshops.
Getting there and tickets
Each activity has its own venue, date and time, so it is worth consulting the programme dossier linked in the Agenda Cultural de Andalucía listing before setting out. All the events are free and some may require prior registration because of limited capacity. The programme runs between 1 October and 30 November 2026. It is organised by the Junta de Andalucía's Consejería de Cultura, Patrimonio Histórico y Deporte, in collaboration with the participating towns and organisations.
