Twenty editions of environmental journalism

SIPMA is a long-standing event for journalists, researchers and science communicators interested in environmental reporting. It is organised by Enresa with the University of Córdoba and the Asociación de Periodistas de Información Ambiental (APIA), and its twentieth edition focuses on artificial intelligence: its challenges, its opportunities and its impact on the environment.

Programme

On Thursday 29 it opens at 10:00 at the UCO Rectorado. The opening session is given by Asunción Gómez-Pérez, professor of Artificial Intelligence and member of the RAE, followed by a panel with the philosopher José Carlos Ruiz and experts in ethics, forest fires and cetaceans. In the afternoon there are workshops, one with Ana Tudela, co-founder of Datadista. On Friday 30 the group travels by coach to El Cabril, in Hornachuelos, to learn about radioactive waste management and close with a look back at twenty years of environmental journalism. Registration is free and done on the Enresa website for the seminar.
