Melon Lanterns for All Saints
The Path of Light is the children's activity with which Fernán Núñez welcomes All Saints. It revives a very Andalusian tradition: hollowing out a melon, carving designs, and placing a candle inside to turn it into a lantern. In 2026 it takes place on Thursday, October 29, and is a simple plan to do with children, a mix of craft and nighttime stroll.
Workshop and Parade
At 5:00 pm the melon lantern workshop begins at the Ludoteca Municipal. At 7:00 pm, as daylight fades, the parade with lit lanterns sets off from the Ludoteca to Plaza de Armas. Important: each participant must bring their own materials, that is, the melon, candle, and string to hang it. It’s also advisable to bring a suitable knife or spoon for hollowing it out, always with an adult.
