The 29 Semana del Teatro de Lucena brings together thirteen shows of every genre: opera, drama, comedy, circus, magic and dance. It opens on 14 October with Rossini's El barbero de Sevilla, performed by Córdoba Opera Lab and directed by Alberto Cubero. The 15th brings Misery, a Stephen King adaptation with Carmen Conesa, Marcial Álvarez and Alberto Vázquez; the 21st, Arthur Miller's Panorama desde el puente with María Adánez and José Luis García Pérez; the 24th, Goyo Jiménez with América Forever; and the 25th closes with Inolvidable, a musical about Rocío Dúrcal with Carmen Morales and Alejandro Vera. The bill is completed by El desván de los hermanos Grimm, Lope Exprés, Lunaria, the magic gala aLucenante, Compatibles, Los últimos cómicos, the aerial circus show Hypnos and the urban dance piece Famulus 4.0.
Getting there and tickets
The performances are spread across the Auditorio Municipal Manuel Lara Cantizani, the Palacio Erisana, the Patio de Armas of the Castillo del Moral, plaza Archidona and plaza Nueva in Lucena. The opening is on 14 October at 20.30; Misery starts at 22.00 on the 15th, Panorama desde el puente at 21.00 on the 21st and Inolvidable at 19.00 on the 25th. There are adult season tickets for the eight main shows at 72, 68 and 62 euros depending on the seating area, as well as single tickets with discounts, on sale at the Biblioteca Pública de Lucena and at entradas.culturalucena.es. It is organised by Lucena Town Council with the support of the Diputación and the Junta.
