What it is / What you will see
The Hermandad de Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno in Fuente Palmera turned one hundred on 6 August. That day, in the church of the Purísima Concepción, the image was awarded the Medalla de La Colonia. The centenary culminates in October with a special procession of the Nazareno through the streets of the town. A stational mass is held before the procession. Out in the street, the procession is led by the Banda de Cornetas y Tambores del Santísimo Cristo de las Tres Caídas de Triana (Seville), one of the best known in Andalusia, and the brotherhood's own bugle and drum band takes part too.
Getting there and tickets
The stational mass is at 16:30 and the procession leaves at 18:30 from Fuente Palmera's parish church, the church of the Purísima Concepción. Fuente Palmera is about 55 km from Córdoba on the A-431 via Posadas, or on the A-4 via Écija. It is a religious event in the street, free and with no ticket. The source does not give the full route through the streets, so it is best to wait near the parish church for the departure. It is organised by the Hermandad de Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno.
