About the event
The dolorosa of the Hermandad del Resucitado goes out in a special procession for the 75th anniversary of her blessing. She is the work of Juan Martínez Cerrillo. The route runs from Santa Marina to the plaza de las Tendillas and the city hall, accompanied by the Banda de Música Nuestra Señora de la Estrella.

What it is / What you will see
The Virgen de la Alegría, the Marian image of the Hermandad del Resucitado, marks 75 years since her blessing. She is a carving by Juan Martínez Cerrillo, one of Córdoba's best-loved religious sculptors of the 20th century. To celebrate, she goes out in a special procession from Santa Marina on a long route through the centre: Moriscos, San Agustín, San Andrés, San Pablo, Capitulares, Claudio Marcelo, the plaza de las Tendillas, San Álvaro, San Zoilo and Colón, returning via the Puerta del Rincón and the plaza del Conde de Priego. The music is provided by the Banda de Música Nuestra Señora de la Estrella. It is an unusual chance to see this dolorosa right in the middle of Las Tendillas.
Getting there and tickets
She leaves at 19:00 from the parish church of Santa Marina de Aguas Santas, in the plaza de Santa Marina, and is due back in at 00:30. It is free and no ticket is needed. If you want to see her pass through the centre, find a spot on Capitulares, opposite the city hall, or in the plaza de las Tendillas. For the departure and the late-night return, the plaza del Conde de Priego. It is organised by the Hermandad del Resucitado. The anniversary programme continues with a special evening rosary on 28 November.
