What you will see
“La poética del espacio urbano” gathers the painting of the Córdoba artist Pepe Cañete around one idea: cities are not made only of buildings, streets and squares, but also of the people who move through them, the memories they hold and the traces they leave. In his works, architecture, figures, spaces of transit, graphic elements and materials drawn from his own life sit side by side, between figuration and abstraction. According to the curator, Damián Bretones, the city here stops being a landscape to be looked at and becomes a territory to be lived in. It is a project begun in 2019 and developed over several years of research and experiment.
Getting there
The exhibition can be visited at the Fundación Cajasol's premises in Córdoba, at avenida Ronda de los Tejares, 32, until 10 October 2026. Opening hours are Monday to Saturday, from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 18:00 to 21:00; it is closed on Sundays and public holidays. The published information does not give an admission price. Speakers at the opening were the Fundación Cajasol's delegate in Córdoba, Juan Manuel Carrasco, and the provincial councillor for culture, Gabriel Duque. Organised by the Fundación Cajasol.
