What you will see
Casa Árabe's Córdoba home, a Mudéjar building from the 14th to 16th centuries, is showing two installations in its patios that bring heritage and contemporary art together. In the Patio de la Palmera, the Italian-Egyptian artist Mosa One has painted the mural “Hasta ahora todo bien: el problema no es la caída, sino el aterrizaje”, which blends Arabic calligraphy with animal and plant motifs and two doves that speak of peace. In the Patio del Abrevadero, “Hilos de la memoria. Una ventana abierta hacia el futuro de Palestina”, by Almudena Castillejo, Begoña Castillejo and Maysun Cheikh Ali Mediavilla, reinterprets traditional Palestinian embroidery with a symbolic suspended door.
Getting there
The installations can be seen until 31 December 2026 during the opening hours of Casa Árabe, calle Samuel de los Santos Gener, 9, in Córdoba's Judería, very close to the Mezquita-Catedral. Entry is free until capacity is reached. It can be combined with the temporary exhibition on at the house or with one of the activities in the programme marking the Averroes anniversary. Organised by Casa Árabe.
