What it is
The Muestra de Corales Cordobesas was born in 1992 with just four ensembles and has not stopped growing since, both in the number of participating choirs and in audience. More and more people in Córdoba follow polyphonic music, and the showcase has become one of the most established and eagerly awaited events in the calendar, with full houses at its recent editions. It is part of the Córdoba es Navidad programme and takes up a good part of December with a succession of concerts in which different choirs from the city present their repertoire. In 2025 it was held from 2 to 18 December. It is a simple, free way of getting into the Christmas spirit by listening to the local choirs.
Getting there and tickets
The concerts are held at the Teatro Cómico Principal, at Calle Ambrosio de Morales 15, unless the programme indicates another venue. The usual start time is 8 pm. Entry is free until capacity is reached, so it is worth arriving in good time on the busiest dates. The detailed programme for each edition is published alongside that of the municipal Christmas programme. The 2026 dates have not yet been announced; the 2025 edition ran from 2 to 18 December. It is organised by the Culture and Historical Heritage department of Córdoba city council.
