What it is
“Misery” is a powerful, chilling piece of theatre adapted from Stephen King's classic. A successful novelist has a serious car accident and wakes up in the care of a fanatical admirer; what begins as nursing ends in a claustrophobic, harrowing kidnapping. Carmen Conesa plays the nurse Annie Wilkes, an obsessive fan of the novels of Paul Sheldon, who is played by Marcial Álvarez. Writing becomes an act of survival in this duel between imagination and madness. It is directed by Jose Saiz, with Alberto Vázquez completing the cast, in a Cía. Saga Producciones production of around 90 minutes.
