What's on
Villa del Río brings back its Mercado Medieval from 16 to 18 October 2026, organised by the Town Council's Tourism and Commerce departments. For three days, the streets of the centre are decked out in medieval style and fill with craft and food stalls. The programme announced includes falconry displays and demonstrations, fire shows, aerial silks acts and an exhibition of medieval instruments of torture, as well as workshops and rides for little ones. The Town Council has also opened up pitches for local craftspeople, so the market mixes trades from elsewhere with produce from the town itself. It is a family weekend plan in the Alto Guadalquivir countryside.
Getting there and tickets
The market is set up around the Plaza de la Constitución, right in the centre of Villa del Río, from Friday 16 to Sunday 18 October. You are free to wander round it, like any street market. The Town Council said it would reveal the full programme, with specific times and shows, over the preceding days, so it is worth checking the council's website before you go. It is organised by Villa del Río Town Council through its Tourism and Commerce departments.
