Cardeña holds the XIII Feria del Lechón Ibérico, a food and tradition event devoted to one of the area's most characteristic products, Iberian suckling pig. For three days the town invites visitors to enjoy the food, the tradition and the village atmosphere, with lechón ibérico as the star of the table. The fair is presented under the slogan “Cardeña (Córdoba). El único”, and is organised by Cardeña Town Council with the collaboration of the Diputación de Córdoba, the Junta de Andalucía, Iprodeco, Kutxabank, Covap and other organisations. It is a good opportunity to discover this corner of the province in the middle of autumn and try one of its star products.
